How I changed my house – Part 2, the bathroom

Hey friends, I’m back again with a new chapter of discussion! As I promised that I would share instances about how I changed my house along with MDM so, here it goes.In the previous part we discussed about how we (me and my wife) found out MDM Custom Remodeling Inc. for the remodeling job of our house. The house we shifted recent at that time was fine except few places and bathroom was one of those. We needed to change the appearance of the bathroom just to make it comprised of more free space. There was a place for a pre-installed bath-tub which was good but not at that position. We planned to place at a corner in the bathroom.Oh I forgot to tell you about the contractors. Firstly, I would like to say that we got a very good response from the company. They immediately reply us back and within 2 days of time we had a conversation with the contractors. We decided to make quite a few changes in the house and were suggested to start off with the bathroom. So, bathroom remodeling was our first pick in the new house in Los Angeles. You know it’s good to keep two important things in mind while opting for a renovation service – 1) your family needs & 2) the future buyers. Even if you are not willing to sell off the property right now, you should keep the fact in mind. However, along with my wife I planned to add a corner bath in the bathroom although, it is also good to use the free space for a double vanity or a large storage cabinet instead if your family doesn’t take many baths. The opposite is also quite true that the future buyer might look for a bath tub in the bathroom. We decided to go for a bathtub and shower combo and I think that would serve the best for both worlds. While including cabinets was in plan, the remodeling contractor suggested going for wall-mounted cabinets and medicine cabinets to make great savings on the free space. Another improvisation that we really like about the bathroom is drawer organizers, trays and bins. These help to keep small things and accessories handy and in check.Done with these things, we concentrated on the material. Along with standard layout and storage, the used material is also very important to make the bathroom stand out. Different types and colors of tiles are available out of which you can make your popular flooring choice. Mosaic tiles are pretty common for showers specially and we were not really up for that instead, we opted for granite tiles which are easier to clean. We have also applied countertop color to add to the excitement of that place. Last but not the least, MDM has accomplished quality finishes for the cabinet pulls, shower heads and faucets as well. So, our bathroom is now as we wanted it. In the next part, I would love to describe the kitchen. Thank you.
